The interviewer asks:
“I’ve learned so much from this interview, but I have to bring the dragon out of the closet and ask, why choose a business that, well, some think has a reputation that it just takes their money and they get nothing out of it?”
Michael Krupin responds:
“I can tell immediately if a man loves a woman. We’re talking and he says, ‘I don’t need life insurance. If anything happens to me, my wife can remarry.’ I go, ‘Well, she’s 40-plus years old and you have three kids. You live in Beverly Hills. You really think there’s a chance?’ Or I see a man who is not in love with his family, and he says to me, ‘I came into this world with nothing. I’ve given them a good education. It’s up to them.’ I go, ‘Okay, you don’t need me,’ and he is out of my life, not just for business, but because that is not the kind of man I want to hang around with.
